“I got Good Morning by Yasujiro Ozu. This is recommended to me by you. There's a poster outside. Apparently it's a fart movie from Japan in 1959. That's its own genre.”

“I got this, never actually seen this. I heard it's good.”

“I'm picking up Frances Ha because you know Greta is the goat.”

“I got the Beastie Boys and that's maybe the only director I recognize in these boys. I mean Sabotage is a classic video, so they have commentary on about it and excited to check this out.”

“I'm picking up Some Like It Hot because we watched it in my queer cinema studies class.”

“I just got Rosemary's Baby because they shot this at the Dakota in New York.”

“Night of the Living Dead. Oh nice. I'm actually doing a piece for Complex about blackness, you know, of all the black people that survived in a horror movie and this brother, I think I'm correct, he didn't die... But I think it's better than dying.”

“Sunday Bloody Sunday.”

“I just picked the Pan's Labyrinth. This is—that's a great movie. A big fan of his other one about the fish.”

“This is one of the most fucked up movies I've ever seen. Yes, David Lynch is involved in this. Okay, so my friend told me to watch Crumb, right? I've never seen it. I know about Crumb but not a lot. And I watched it and I was sick to my stomach by the end of it, which means it did a very good job. I have a love-hate relationship with Crumb because I do admire when an artist puts it all out there.”

“I'm gonna get True Stories because it's by David Byrne and True Stories is so good. It's so funny.”

“I'm getting 24 Frames because I saw a video on Twitter of a cat watching 24 Frames.”

“I'm getting a Made in U. S. A. Godard and I have like jump cuts.”

“Man Bites Dog. Oh, that's good. Oh yeah, heard that so many times. Yeah, that's a cool movie.”

“Sex, Lies, and Videotape. Anyway, heard about that. It was in a Kanye song. It's in Jesus Walks, he references it, so you have to get it.”

“I'm gonna finish this out with another Akira Kurosawa film, which means in Japanese 'to live'. And you know what, I try to get the other European directors but like, you know, I just feel something when I see a lonely Japanese man on a swing.”

“I'm gonna get The Big Chill as my last movie because they just read the back and it seems interesting. He has a good job with that back of the film.”

“I'm gonna pick The Complete Jacques Tati. I think I've not seen most of his films but I've heard a lot about them and I really love French films a lot so I'm gonna use this and get more cultured.”
