You know it's funny, I peeped how this came out around the exact same time as Dr. Strangelove. And Dr. Strangelove feels like it has a little more notoriety, but I actually slightly prefer this to Dr. Strangelove. It's more grounded, it's more serious. I love this movie.”

“Saw this with a woman. It was A Man and a Woman in the theater watching this. And maybe I just saw it at the exact right moment of my life as I was falling for somebody, but it's a touching movie. I recommend you seeing this with somebody you love.”

“Six Moral Tales, Eric Rohmer. It feels like a perfect way to start because I love just seeing characters sitting around talking about love. Very little action, just conversations on camera that felt organic and genuine and unscripted, so big inspiration.”

“Agnes Varda. I would call this a discovery pick for me. I'm taking this home to educate myself because I've seen Le Bonheur and I would say that movie inspired the song 'My Winter' on my new album. I love that movie and I'd like to see more of what she's done, so I'm going to take this home and find out.”
