Anatomy of a Fall

“And Anatomy of a Fall, which was one of the most surprising movies and again the great example of women director's point of view. And we have more and more like powerful and very outspoken women directors and that is good.”

“Anatomy of a Fall, Justine Triet. It won the Oscar for a reason. If you haven’t watched it, do. It’s just a… I’m just very excited to see what she does next. And Sandra Hüller is just an incredible actress. Just doesn’t miss a moment. There’s an oblique 50 Cent reference, which you don’t really get in French cinema on a yearly basis.”

“Sandra Hüller in Anatomy of a Fall. I mean this Sandra Hüller that year with Zone of Interest as well just immediately became like, you know, the person that I will see anything in. It feels like a classic from a million years ago already. I just think her dedication felt like a new, it really felt like a new level of naturalism. I just can't fathom how she did what she did in that film.”

“This is an incredible movie: Anatomy of a Fall. I love this film because it answers the age-old question of: did this woman murder her annoying husband or not? I was about to say Sandra’s performance as though she’s my good friend. I’m gonna call her Sandra, like we know each other and we text. Her Performance is so good. I actually wasn’t aware of her. It’s exactly the kind of thriller that I like, a domestic thriller.”

“Okay, I’ll go with this one next: Anatomy of a Fall. I have never been more star-struck from meeting an actress than I was when I met Sandra Hüller. And I was watching an interview and they’re like, 'How do you prepare for a movie like that?' And she was like, 'Well, I just learned my lines.' I was like, 'I love that,' you know? Because you can… It’s sort of what I was saying about On the Waterfront, she’s in the moment. She’s present.”
